I had my site hosted with Lunar Pages for over a year now and till now had no problems. I had some technical issues (since I was learning) and it was great support by telephone and email. Lots of great features are available in the Control Panel makes it easier to maintain and change, even for those who are not experienced in the technical side of things.

I can’t believe I’m posting a review like this about LP, because I’ve been hosting with them (and sending all my clients there) for almost 10 years now. But lately, I’m starting to wonder what happened to them. My website is constantly going down, several times a week and not just short bursts, also causing me to lose time working on projects because I can’t access my test sites or receive email.
They have changed quite a bit, having added a new “basic” hosting plan, called the Starter Plan – but beware, this plan boasts “Phone Support Not Included”. I don’t know where that leaves me, being a web designer – what if I have to contact them about a client’s server and the client has a Starter Plan? It’s not like it used to be where I could call them in the past and reach a person quickly.
Another issue is that they started implementing a new customized control panel (LPCP) which is NOT cPanel and it’s lacking a ton of features. Last week I installed WP on a new client’s server and had issues (which I’ve never had in the past) so I needed to see the Error Logs… Well, there were none. I contacted them to ask if they could setup the old cPanel and they wanted to charge my client extra fees per month, another fee to move the site to a different server, and wanted my client’s credit card, etc. I said forget it – I wanted to see if people had a choice during the signup, or some way to get back cPanel easily, but that’s not an option anymore.
So, I’m on the search (again!) for a new reliable hosting provider to send all my clients to… So disappointed LP!!! Not good…
